Anchal is a dedicated and compassionate psychologist committed to guiding individuals on their path toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. She believes authentic transformation arises from embracing even the most challenging experiences that shape an individual. Recognizing the isolating and demanding nature of this journey, Anchal is deeply committed to accompanying clients and establishing a therapeutic alliance founded on trust, genuine understanding, empathic connection, and profound care. These principles form the cornerstone of a collaborative alliance where she assists clients in achieving personal and lifelong goals.

In the therapeutic space, Anchal strives to create an environment where she tailors treatment plans using integrative methods to facilitate transformative experiences. Her goal is to empower clients, fostering self-reflection, self-awareness, and the establishment of self-acceptance within a judgment-free space. Anchal actively encourages exploration to address limiting beliefs, unproductive needs, or behaviours affecting mental and emotional well-being. Ultimately, she supports clients in harnessing their strengths, acquiring skills to navigate emotions, build resilience, and form meaningful connections over time.

Specializing in a comprehensive range of mental health challenges, Anchal employs an integrative approach that incorporates modalities such as cognitive-behavioural (CBT), person-centered, and solution-focused therapies. She seamlessly integrates interventions from attachment, polyvagal, mindfulness, narrative, and strength-based approaches into her practice, ensuring a holistic and tailored therapeutic experience. 

Additionally, she is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), offering this therapeutic intervention for processing and healing trauma. Anchal actively pursues ongoing education and training, committing to continuous improvement in both her personal and professional development to enhance her ability to provide optimal support to her clients.

As a registered provisional psychologist, Anchal is in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and the Psychologists Association of Alberta (PAA). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from MacEwan University and aMaster of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University of Los Angeles with a specialization in trauma and recovery.

 

Inclusivity is fundamental to Anchal’s practice and she warmly welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, striving to provide a culturally sensitive therapeutic experience conducive to healing and addressing multicultural concerns. Anchal invites individuals to connect and explore how her expertise can support their healing journey. She offers therapeutic services in several languages – English, Punjabi, and Hindi if needed.

During her spare time, Anchal prioritizes spending quality moments with her loved ones, whether that involves being with her family or catching up with friends. Her passion for traveling leads her to enjoy exploring new cultures and traditions globally, often with her loved ones by her side. In moments where traveling isn’t feasible, Anchal directs her creativity toward culinary experimentation, trying out diverse recipes and ingredients to craft healthy and flavourful meals.

Valuing her physical well-being, Anchal often partakes in outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, or dedicates time to workout sessions at the gym. To unwind at the end of the day, she takes pleasure in watching her favourite TV shows or movies, relishing the moments spent cuddled up with her beloved furry companion.
