At Nova Psychology, we prioritize safeguarding the confidentiality of our clients. Our team, comprising Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, Registered Social Workers, and Canadian Certified Counsellors, is individually registered with their respective associations and adheres strictly to their Professional Code of Ethics.

Confidentiality Agreement:

We recognize that confidentiality is paramount in maintaining trust and professionalism within the therapeutic relationship. Our commitment lies in protecting client confidentiality, and we will only disclose information if explicitly directed to do so by the client.

Limits to Confidentiality:

Confidentiality may be waived in cases of subpoenaed records, suspected child abuse or neglect, or if the client expresses intentions of self-harm or harm to others.

We only have access to and collect personal information (for example your name, date of birth, social security number, credit card number, mailing or billing address, telephone number, or email address, and email preferences (collectively, “Personal Information”) that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.

We also gather other information (“Other Information”), which cannot identify you unless it is used in conjunction with actual Personal Information. For example, we may collect your computer’s Internet Protocol address (i.e. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. We may receive and store certain information whenever you visit the Website. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Website, and to help identify you. Your IP address may also be used to gather broad demographic information, and for other purposes.
