As human beings, feelings of burnout, anxiety, or depression can arise at various points in our lives. Consulting a psychologist can be immensely beneficial in addressing these challenges.
Arianna Biasini
Arianna is a compassionate psychologist whose work is guided by a belief that everyone is capable of growth and healing. She is honoured to support individuals on their paths to self-discovery and personal development. Along with her clinical experience, Arianna brings warmth, openness, and humour to therapy. She offers clients of all backgrounds a welcoming and non-judgmental space to cultivate deeper insight, self-compassion, and effective skills to confront the problems holding them back from living the life they wish to lead.
Arianna works from a person-centred, integrative approach utilizing techniques from several evidence-based treatment modalities. She believes there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. She values working collaboratively with clients to identify treatment goals and develop an effective plan of action tailored to their unique strengths. Having previously worked in a university clinic, Arianna is especially enthusiastic about supporting students and professionals in their journeys towards personal growth.
In addition to therapy, Arianna is pleased to offer psychological assessment services for adults. Navigating mental health challenges can be complicated and feel incredibly isolating. Psychological assessment can be a valuable tool to help make sense of what you are going through and identify possible solutions. Through her work, Arianna feels privileged to witness the profoundly transformative power of the self-discovery, understanding, and validation that high-quality assessment can provide.
Trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Arianna provides psychological treatment services to adults both in-person and remotely, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), CBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based strategies, and psychoeducation.
Arianna is adept at conducting general and formal assessments and writing comprehensive reports to communicate findings for short-term disability referrals and private clients. She also liaises with third-party payors and community referral sources, ensuring seamless coordination of care for clients.
Arianna is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and professional member in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Arianna holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta, and has achieved her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Arianna’s dedication to her profession and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable member of our team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality psychological services to our clients.
