Breaking the Silence Run Walk is a community event promoting mental health and physical wellness through running, walking, and jogging. Participants of all fitness levels can join, and the event offers a platform to share experiences related to mental health, creating a supportive environment. The event breaks down stigma and promotes openness, empathy, and support for mental health.

In addition to promoting mental health and physical wellness, the Breaking the Silence Run Walk is also a fun and rewarding experience. As a token of appreciation, everyone who registers for the event will receive a free shirt to wear on race day. We’ll also provide complimentary breakfast and lunch to all participants, so you can fuel up before and after the race. Join us for a day of fitness, community, and support!

Kids will also have the opportunity to enjoy fun activities such as face painting, games, and other family-friendly entertainment. Join us for a day of fitness, community, and support, and make lasting memories with your loved ones

Primus Physiotherapy will lead the warm-up before the walk/run and free physiotherapy screening and taping at the event.

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit organization that has been raising funds for the last eight years in efforts to achieve our mission of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Over the years, we have raised over $250,000 for several mental health associations. Net proceeds from this event will go towards mental health initiatives with the Edmonton Public School Board Foundation. We are grateful for the support from organizations and individuals like you, as your contributions and involvement are crucial to the success of this initiative. Thank you for your ongoing support.
