The University of Alberta’s Co-Op Program is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. It offers students the chance to integrate their academic knowledge with practical experience through work placements with reputable organizations.
The University of Alberta students are enrolled in Arts Work Experience (AWE). AWE provides a flexible range of options that allows Arts undergraduate students to add career-related, full-time work experience to their degree programs. AWE is accredited by Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL). This accreditation demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to upholding the recognized standards for co-operative education experiences across the country by providing positive and enriching experiences for students and employers.
  1. Mentored Learning: Students will be guided and supported by our team of experienced psychologists throughout their co-op placement. This mentoring approach ensures a nurturing and enriching experience.
  2. Diverse Exposure: As a well-established psychology clinic, we cater to a diverse range of clients and mental health concerns. Students will have the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of cases, enhancing their understanding and skills.
  3. Impactful Work: Co-op participants at Nova Psychology actively contribute to client care and treatment plans. Their work can make a real difference in the lives of individuals seeking support.
  4. Professional Growth: Our co-op program provides a platform for students to build their professional networks and gain valuable insights into the psychology field.
