BETHANIE INTAL
Bethanie is a first-year Bachelor of Arts student majoring in Psychology at the University of Alberta, where she is cultivating a strong academic foundation in human development, cognition, mental health, and research methods. She is particularly interested in understanding the social and emotional factors that shape well-being, and she hopes to pursue future opportunities that allow her to support individuals and communities through evidence-based practice.
Alongside her studies, Bethanie works as a receptionist at a senior home, where she manages front-desk operations, assists residents and their families, and contributes to a supportive and organized environment. Her role has strengthened her interpersonal communication skills, professionalism, and ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and respect. Previously, she volunteered with the Food Bank, gaining hands-on experience in community outreach, teamwork, and service delivery to individuals facing food insecurity.
Through her academic training and people-oriented professional experience, Bethanie is building a strong foundation in client care, communication, and community support. She brings a motivated, compassionate approach to every role and is committed to growing her expertise within psychology and related helping professions.

Born and raised in another country before moving to Canada at the age of fourteen, Bethanie has grown up immersed in multiple cultures, shaping her open-minded worldview and ability to appreciate diverse perspectives. Her background continues to influence how she understands people, communicates, and approaches new experiences. Outside of work and academics, she spent nine years as a competitive dancer, a commitment that strengthened her discipline, creativity, and dedication. Bethanie is also an avid bookworm who enjoys diving into new stories and ideas, often drawing inspiration from the books she reads. She loves exploring new hobbies, from creative projects to active pursuits, as a way to keep learning and challenging herself. In her free time, Bethanie enjoys spending time with friends and discovering new places, whether that means trying a new café, visiting local events, or simply enjoying good company and new experiences.
