Karen works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, supporting individuals across a wide range of mental health concerns. Her clinical focus includes past trauma, current life challenges, and personal growth. Karen is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel valued, respected, and genuinely heard.
Karen takes an empathetic and client-centred approach to therapy, prioritizing each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and understanding is essential to meaningful change. Through this foundation, clients are supported in feeling empowered and confident throughout their therapeutic journey.
Karen integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities into her work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy. All interventions are applied through a culturally sensitive lens and thoughtfully tailored to meet each client’s individual needs and challenges.
Karen’s goal is to equip clients with practical tools, insight, and self-awareness to overcome obstacles and create lasting change. Whether clients are processing trauma, navigating current difficulties, or seeking personal growth, Karen is dedicated to walking alongside them with care and professionalism, supporting their overall well-being and personal goals.

LET'S GET PERSONAL
Outside of her clinical work, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and community. In her free time, she loves exploring new cafés and restaurants around Edmonton, with a particular interest in trying different cuisines and desserts.
Karen also has a passion for photography, especially while traveling or spending time with friends. She enjoys baking for her loved ones and surprising them with homemade treats, often sharing lighthearted moments from her kitchen adventures on social media. In addition, Karen enjoys building and frequently spends her downtime working on Lego projects.
