REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST | EMDR SPECIALIST

As human beings, feelings of burnout, anxiety, or depression can arise at various points in our lives. Consulting a psychologist can be immensely beneficial in addressing these challenges.

LINDSAY PIPER

Lindsay Piper is a Registered Psychologist with a strong background in education, counselling psychology, and performance coaching. She holds a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle and dual undergraduate degrees in Education and Arts from Concordia University of Edmonton. Her graduate studies focused on a wide range of clinical areas, including trauma, grief, family systems, addiction, and child and adolescent counselling, equipping her with a solid foundation for supporting diverse client needs.

Lindsay brings a warm, relational approach to therapy and is passionate about supporting individuals across the lifespan, particularly youth and athletes. Her clinical experience includes working with both individual and group clients in private practice settings, where she provides evidence-based interventions tailored to client goals. Lindsay has a strong interest in sport and performance psychology, and her academic research explored the impact of body image on athletes after retirement, shedding light on the transition out of sport and the importance of identity and self-compassion during life changes.

Prior to entering the field of psychology, Lindsay spent several years as a school teacher, where she supported students with a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and learning needs. This experience further deepened her understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of early intervention and resilience. Her strengths lie in creating safe, collaborative spaces where clients feel empowered to explore challenges and develop meaningful coping strategies.

Lindsay is trained in EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she continues to expand her clinical tools through ongoing professional development. She works with compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story. Fluent in English and conversational in French, Lindsay is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of individuals from all backgrounds and is excited to be part of a field that fosters growth, healing, and connection.

At present, Lindsay offers direct billing services to the following insurance providers: Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP/ARTA, Medavie Blue Cross, Canada Life, Desjardins, Equitable Life of Canada, First Canadian Insurance, Green Shield Canada, Chambers of Commerce Group, SSQ Financial, and Manulife. Additionally, indirect billing is available for Pacific Blue Cross and Sunlife.

LET'S GET PERSONAL

Outside of her professional life, Lindsay enjoys staying active and has a lifelong love for sports—she played college basketball here in Edmonton and now spends her time running, golfing, and taking spin classes. To relax, she enjoys being with her dog, friends, and family, as well as winding down with reality TV and a good book.
