Impact of Event Scale

The Impact of Event Scale (IES) is a 15-item questionnaire designed to assess distress caused by traumatic events. It measures symptoms of intrusion, avoidance, and hyperarousal related to the event. Mental health professionals use the IES to evaluate trauma-related symptoms, screen for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and guide treatment planning
